Rodgers has no choice, but it should cost him his job

Brendan Rodgers is not a bad manager, but he's young and still has to learn from his mistakes.  Unfortunately, Liverpool may not be the club for him to do so.  We are a 'second tier' club right now and if you think any different, you have no idea how good City, Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid, and Munich are.  Can we get back to that level? I'm not so sure, I don't know if we have the money to do so.

Rodgers realized what the biggest problem was early on and it's the most important issue that all clubs must deal with first if they plan on being contenders.  It's a set-back and a huge hill to overcome, but must be answered first before anything else.  We had to get better on defence and we did.  You cannot blame little mistakes as bad defence, but those things will fix themselves as the whole is acknowledged.

Rodgers isn't an idiot, he understands the game.  He realizes we need to score to win, but he also realizes that we need to prevent our opposition from scoring first and foremost.  We are coming around to this and have played much better defence the last few matches, but it may be too little too late.  He should have done this from day one of training and not five or six matches into the season.

He has bought poorly.  He has failed to make sure defence is first priority.  He has failed to inspire his side.  He starts Joe Allen.  We are not good enough to finish in the top four, we will be out of the Champions League in due time, and I don't give two farts in the wind about the FA Cup and the League Cup.  This is not my Liverpool and he's had his chance.  Time to move on.  I heard Michael Laudrup is available, he can't be much worse.

The problem is we didn't sign top drawer players, why? I've no idea. They pretty much wasted that £120m and it wasn't all Rodgers fault because the Americans have a team of idiots buying the players and an idiot doing the negotiations that sold the best striker in the world for an insulting £65m then paid over £80m for Markovic, Lallana, Lovren and Balotelli.

Leave the man alone. He is a good manager and he will prove it before the season is over.
It's not his fault that Suarez engineered his move out of Liverpool for pastures he has been craving all his life!
It's not his fault that Sturridge is injured! But at least Sturridge is still around and the team will gel again once he comes back.
However, I would like to see another Suarez or Sturridge like striker join the ranks as Sturridge alone can't possibly be expected to shoulder all of the responsibility of scoring. Even the best has droughts.

You have said it yourself "we don't have the money to compete on the same level as Chelsea etc". Brendan Rogers is a very astute manager. This was always a long term job. Our squad was way too small and we needed to strengthen badly. It takes some players a while to come to terms with playing at a big club...and we are a big club. We have had a disastrous start and are three points off fourth place and we will get better.

ok BR signings on whole poor but he did sign Ds and Coutinio (sorry poor spelling) he needs to be more tactically aware. we cannot do what Manure did its not just the money spent its the wages. Falco wages alone probably more than all our in commings this summer.

What? I know lets buy messi and Ronaldo too. If it doesnt work in the first game then sack them too and get Ibrahimovic. If that doesnt work...... see where this is going? Where did BRs tean finush last season? Were you a Liverpool fan then? Sort yourself out. Its a marathon and not a sprint, we have been without the two strikers who scored the goals ladt season. We could never have replaced Suarez no matter how much money we had. Rebuilding takes time, its not good at the moment but in thr 52 years I have followed this club I know one thing. YNWA

Just take a look at who Koeman brought in. Much better buys based on much better research. They have the players we should have bought.

rogers is a low profile coach so he cant approach the big names he wasted 120m for nothing all we need is a high profile coach and rogers should go and learn maybe go back to swansea lol or lower club...he's just messing with my club now i cant talk where chelsea fan and man city fans are talking all because of his failure and useless tactics just one man left the club and every got damaged despite spending 120m sold agger for 3m and lovren is there messing up benitez is far better than rogers

I reckon we are lacking Owen, Fowler, Rush and Aldrige. To be honest it is all about big money. Rogers is doing a great job. If he could go and buy three of four players like Messi, Suarez, Bale & Neymar to play instead of the aforementioned we would be well above Chelsea!.
