Who turned over the ball most last season? UPDATED

One thing that drives all football fans crazy is when your team gives away the ball.  Peter Crouch, Luis Garcia, and Momo Sissoko used to bring out the worst in me when they constantly gifted the ball to the opposition.  So I got to wondering who has the worst TTI from last season?  Just for laughs, before I do the research, I'm going to guess either Glen Johnson or Luis Suarez, so let's find out.

TTI Per 90
Suarez15.7
Aspas14.7
Toure13.4
Sterling12.1
Enrique11.3
Coutinho11
Sturridge11
Johnson10.9
Gerrard10.9
Allen10.4
Moses9.9
Henderson9.5
Flanagan9.2
Cissokho8.8
Kelly8.5
Lucas7.9
Agger6.3
Mignolet6.2
Sakho6.1
Skrtel5.3

I found a site that keeps track of minutes played by competition and have re-done the TTI chart accordingly.
Sterling jumped a bunch of spaces to basically second among regulars.  Suarez is still first, but he only went up a little since he plays so much.  Coutinho went from second to 6th, but still 3rd among regular starters.  And what can you say about Aspas? No wonder he rarely sees the pitch.  I think it would be interesting to see if he showed signs of this kind of performance at Celta.

Today's Banter: Rafa may sit Torres, Martin to Yeovil?, CNN needs a better fact checker, & more

- Rafa has made sure that everyone knows this is his club when he stated that Torres' performance last night doesn't guarantee him a place at Wigan on Saturday. It might be best to start him on the bench anyhow as we should have a fresh Kuyt and Voronin, both of whom should be looking to redeem themselves after Saturday's subpar performance versus Birmingham.

- It's looking less likely that a rumored loan move for keeper David Martin to Yeovil Town will come to fruition. With last night's shaky performance from Frenchman Charles Itandje, it's understandable that Rafa wants to keep the 21-year-old Reserves keeper around. If Itandje stumbles on his second outing, I fully expect Martin to get his shot. Both Martin and out-on-loan Nikolay Mihaylov gave solid performances in the preseason.

- CNN made a slight and understandable error in this report from yesterday's Sevilla-Espanyol match, unless Luis Garcia was recently loaned out from Atletico to Espanyol. I think I would have heard about it though.

- Coppell claims it's Torres' pace that sets him apart from other players. I would have to agree that El Nino has some speed and quickness, but he's also strong and how can you not deny his uncanny ability to score any which way by foot after the Chelsea goal and the phenomenal second strike yesterday? He's just so unpredictable on the ball.

- Finally, Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt have both been named to Marco Van Bastien's provisional Holland squad for their upcoming Euro qualifier matches in mid-October. The fixtures are just three weeks away. Cheers.

Luis Garcia nets a brace for Atletico (video)

Our Luisy scored a couple to ensure his sides' win in UEFA Cup action. What might be even more impressive is the fact that he had a part in all four goals as both the other ones for his club came off rebounds from his shots. Here are the video highlights, Garcia scores the last two. Cheers.

Today's Banter: The needle & hopefully no damage done for Gerrard & more

- Well, he's gone and done it, Steven Gerrard has declared himself fit to Steve McClaren for England's tie with Israel tomorrow. No word on whether he'll get an injection or not, and though I doubt we'll hear about it if he does with all the controversy surrounding it anyhow. After tomorrow, I don't expect Stevie-G to play for us for about a month, call it Anfield intuition.

- Not really that much else going on other than Voronin getting a lot of love and if you wrote Steven Gerrard, Luis Garcia, or Harry Kewell a love letter between February 12 and April 21 of this year, there's a good chance it ended up in this guy's house. Cheers.
